SR&RL 15 - A Closer Look

Some acrylic tube paints are used for the rust spots, while most of the weathering is done with Bragdon powders and PanPastels.
A second look at my On30" Bachmann engine and some of the weathering I applied...George Dutka

Woodland Scenic figures are used for the fireman and engineman. They are a bit more modern than should be used but for now they seem to work.

  1. I'm curious about the white lettering, which I think you've applied to a number of y9ur models. I assembled and painted an HOn30 kit for a SR&RL 2-6-2 in the 1980s that had white lettering decals included, but since then, it seems there is some leaning in the direction of yellow. Do you haven an opinion?

    1. Hi John:
This lettering on this engine I did white but my Forney is done with CDS dry transfer gold. Many of the older decal sets are white but at one point I was told that current thoughts are they may have been gold. I am in not sure which way my thinking is so I now have one white and one gold. The Forney is covered in the Feb 8 2014 post...hope this helps a bit...George
