Fairbanks Flag Stop

 

The window and doorway are cut into the styrene. The O scale parts are from Grandt Line.
A bit more work has been done on the tiny flag stop structure...George Dutka 

The photo in the article has the sign about O scale. I plan on making a photocopy of this sign and use it on my structure. Now to figure out what color the structure might have been at one time, I am assuming grey and green. I may just model it as the paint has been worn off.

Fairbanks, Maine

 

SR&RL plow 512 at Fairbanks during the winter of 1920. I picked up this view at the Springfield 2025 train show. I have only seen two other views of this flag stop. Both in Bob Jones book about the time it was abandoned and being used as a garden storage shed. This view shows a four pain window on the opposite end to the door. It also has corner trim not seen in the Jones book photos...George Dutka
