Franklin Module on Display

As displayed at the NNGC 2016 in Maine.
Here is some new news. The following was posted by Bob Harper on the Yahoo Group, Maine On2. I maybe able to get a second look at this great layout at two of the three locations...George Dutka

"I will be bringing Franklin across to North America again in 2018, and will take the opportunity to fit in 3 shows during the year. First up is the enormous general train show at Springfield, Mass., where I will be part of the ETE display in section 156 in the Mallory complex. Dates are 27 and 28 January, 2018, open 9 to 5 each day, but check the Amherst website for details. Rather than take it back to the UK after the show, I will be leaving the layout and stock with my brother in Toronto, Ontario, and coming over at intervals to also do the Canadian narrow gauge show at Schomberg, Ont., and then the Minneapolis NG Convention in September, before finally taking everything back home. I doubt if it will venture out of the country again after that! "...Bob Harper

Abandoned Fuel Tank

My fuel tank is mounted on a piece of Gatorfoam.
I picked this small tank up last spring at our area's train show for a dollar. I originally was going to use it on my HO scale WRD layout but it seemed to be a better fit for my narrow gauge model.

I gave the rough spots a light sanding before painting. I realized the colouring looked pretty good as is so some rust is spot added along with PanPastel weathering.

The platform is painted a wood colour. Note the rust spots added using Acrylic paints.

The finished model got some signs added to the model and around the base. A ladder and old valve is also added to the scene.
